Education Qualification: A Person of ability, integrity and standing who has shown capacity in dealing with problems relating to securities markets or has special knowledge or experience of Law, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Administration or in any other discipline, which in the option of the Central Government shall be useful to the Board. The Chairman should be a person who does not, and will not have any such financial or other interests as are likely to affect prejudicial his functions as the Chairman. (Check Advt. for More Details)

Salary: Rs. 4,50,000/- Per Month

Selection Process: The Appointment shall be made by the Central Government on the Recommendation of the Financial Sector Regulatory Appointments Search Committee (FSRASC) as provided in the SEBI (Terms and Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Members) Rules 1992. it May, However, be noted that the FSRASC is Free to identify and recommend any other person also, who has not applied for the post on the basis of merit.
